The very hotel where the shooter stayed and allegedly carried out his act. Loomer took the elevator up to the 32nd floor.
As a security professional the whole security staff needs to be fired. This is pure negligence. Especially when it was 6 months after the deadly shooting. Loomer wasn’t stopped nor questioned and it seemed no security was around. Loomer also had with her, a black duffel bag.

Louie Bee's Commentary:

Please read the whole story above. What seems like was we have another case of an ego driven poorly trained security unprofessional over stepping his responsibility.

Violence is to be avoided at all cost. In most cases even when you are in the right to use violence you end up in the wrong. That is because most corporations are so scared of lawsuits. Even if the suspect is trying to kill you, the company will side on its best interests.

First, SG's are not police, do not have the same powers as police, so keep your hands to yourself.
Second, If the customer is not being unruly LET THE STORE MANAGER HANDLE IT!
Third, A SG's job is to observe and report. Only intervene when the situation gets out of hand.

This SG got fired and now Whole Foods is in damage control mode. I guarantee the SG is going to face charges and Whole Foods is going to have to pay a hefty settlement to the victim. and rightfully so. He was an armed guard as well so imagine if Mr. wannabe jack boot thug cop wanted to play dirty harry with the customer? The SG could have killed the customer over trying to PAY with food stamps.

SG's like him make me sick. Acting like you have special powers. I can't stress this enough, SG's are not police. You can not choke someone because you don't like them. I hope this customer recovers and sues the hell out of Whole Foods for obviously not training the SG in public relations and allowing a loose cannon to guard its facility.Louie Beehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16070038214136260294noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2655198176804111177.post-3525234171767908272015-02-15T20:30:00.000-08:002015-02-15T20:30:14.076-08:00How to Renew Your FireGuard License Online

In an effort to keep an eye on these people to make sure they can't come back and screw more people. I googled the numbers of the defunct Big Apple Security and discovered that two of the number are being used by two new Security Guard Schools.

The Two schools are:

Diamond Security Protection Inc 69-27 Myrtle Avenue Glendale, NY 11385 (718) 418-5557

Prime Security Training & Placement 35 Journal Square Jersey City, NJ 07306 201-668-9417

I haven't been able to find any dirt on Diamond Security Protection, Inc. YET! So IF you went through them and they trained you less than 8 hours or 16 hours for your certification they have stolen from you. Also the state is cracking down on these scam school that are not training people properly are getting their licenses revoked. So if they get their license revoke that will make your certificate worthless and you will have to come out your pocket for another class. Please email me with any information about this business.

If you are trying to become a security officer in New Jersey I suggest you stay away from Prime Security Training & Placement because no one can guarantee you a job. Especially Mr. Burgess who has a history of screwing people here in NYC. Back in 5/18/2012 I contacted Mr Burgess owner of big apple security I told him I literally had all the training and he was still going to charge me $75 for what!!! He couldn't explain to me what the fee was for. If the advertised as a staffing agency and a training school I would understand but they have people coming in to interview for jobs he doesn't have. taking advantage of the poor broke people. Instead of going after the rich. Yeah cause massa has him trained. Expose these crooks and together we will clean up the industry.

I recently had to get my 8 Hour Annual In-Service certification so I can renew my license.

So after some googling I found the Liberty Security Training Institute. The price was right. Usually most schools charge $45 for the class but They are running a winter sale for 8 Hour Annual In-Service class $38 but if you prepay online they give another 5 bucks off so mit ended up cost just $33. The class comes with lunch and a beverage.

I do not know if they help the new Officers with their paper work so I do not know if they charge for that service. You can see the list of classes and prices on their site at http://www.libertysecuritytraininginstitute.com/ There is no scamming here no silly employment agency crap going on.

Just as a heads up this school is by the book. This isnt a certificate mill. If you signed up for the 8 hour class be prepared to be there for the full 8 hours. But you will get a great refresher course and the time flies by you also get breaks in between.

I put my money where my mouth is I went through this myself and it was money not wasted. I highly recommend taking this course.Louie Beehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16070038214136260294noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2655198176804111177.post-27080235946461463212015-01-30T19:56:00.000-08:002015-06-04T00:02:41.507-07:00List Of Security Guard Schools Shut down by the New York State Division of Criminal JusticeBelow are two listings. The first list identifies security guard training schools that are either suspended or revoked. The second list identifies currently approved security guard training schools.

SUSPENDED OR REVOKED SECURITY GUARD TRAINING SCHOOLS

The NYS Division of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS) approval of the below-listed security guard training schools has been SUSPENDED OR REVOKED due to the school’s non-compliance with the Security Guard Program rules and regulations. These schools are NO LONGER DCJS-APPROVED and may no longer operate as a DCJS-approved security guard training school to conduct security guard training courses required by New York State General Business Law Article 7-A, section 89-n.

Which means that if you received a certificate from any of these schools it is now void meaning that it is now worthless and your license might be suspended as well if you do not get it fixed.
Schneiderman today announced that his office had reached a settlement with 1st Security Prep and Placement, a large New York City security guard training school, and its owner Allen Haft, directing as much as $100,000 to unwitting victims who paid for expensive job training courses and were falsely promised jobs in return. The Office of the Attorney General sued 1st Security, located at 250 West 40th Street, and Allen Haft in New York State Supreme Court in April 2013 and obtained a temporary restraining order shutting the school down and freezing its assets. Since the temporary restraining order was issued, 1st Security has ceased to operate.

The settlement also turns over the nearly $100,000 in frozen funds to the Attorney General, which will be used to refund victims of 1st Security’s unlawful practices, and covers penalties, costs, and fees.

The advertisements made it seem like the company was hiring employees at high hourly wages when in fact the company was selling inferior training courses.

When consumers followed up on the referrals, they were not hired for any positions usually because the companies were not hiring or were not interested in hiring individuals with no experience, who had not registered to work as a security guard.

In September 2011, the Office of the Attorney General was awarded a nearly $4 million judgment in a court action against C.P. International Security and its owner, based on a similar scheme. In July 2013, the Office of the Attorney General indicted two owners of phony employment agency United Care Services for advertising nonexistent jobs to the public, promising that clients who paid for their services would be placed in the nonexistent jobs and stealing money from hundreds of New Yorkers.

It was already 6:15am and our reliefs were already late. A vendor was on site and since the next crew wasn't there yet I took the responsibility of escorting them.I called up to the office at 6:30am to see if anyone showed up so they can come down and relieve me from escorting so I can send my partner “D” home since he has to be back 12 hours later and I can wait in the office for the other person “AJ” to come in to relieve me.“D” told me Ms. “F” was on site and that he will tell her to go down to relieve me.

A few minutes later “D” comes down to relieve me. I asked him why is it him that came down? He has to go home. “D” told me she didn't want to. “F” told him that She wasn't ready to start work because she hadn't taken off her boots or coat. (All of “F” which she could have down once she was done escorting the vendors. Keep in mind also she arrived late. And the rules state that if you are late you must be able to begin work as soon as you enter the building.) “F” told him in a snotty way “why don't you go relieve him”?

I went up to the security office to explain that “D” had to leave because he had to be back tonight, and I needed to stay in the office to wait for “AJ”. “F” stated with an attitude that it was “Too F**king bad that she just got in and she wasn't ready”. I told her that she is 30 minutes late and that is rude to make coworkers wait a minute longer. She told me that “E” is a bitch for crying about wanting to go home. That she is always relieved late and often stuck. I told her that has nothing to do with us it is unacceptable to be late. She replied Why don't you be a man and stop crying like a bitch. After that she went downstairs to finally relieve “E”. A few minutes later “AJ” arrives. I went to retrieve “E” for us to leave since both our reliefs finally arrived. When I called to clock out I was told that I was automatically signed out when “F” called in (from an outside phone which means they stop paying me) to sign in at 6am even though she was not on site till 6:30am. So she tried to steal money from me on top of the disrespect.

I was called into HR at the company and I was told that after the investigation they got her and her friend to accuse me of sexual harassment. They did not allow me to defend myself. I was immediately fired. That is the problem with contract security companies. They would rather fire someone than actually do an investigation because it is not about keeping good people who will work. Its about keep the client in the dark about the bullshit being pulled.Louie Beehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16070038214136260294noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2655198176804111177.post-17320546719729245122015-01-04T17:39:00.005-08:002015-01-04T17:39:53.398-08:00Jesse Jackson Calls For Better Treatment Of Amazon's Security GuardsThis is Further proof that contract security workers are treated like crap.

Accompanied by a small entourage, Reverend Jesse Jackson spoke at a rally outside Amazon’s headquarters in Seattle Wednesday in support of Amazon’s security guards.

The security guards are not employed by Amazon, but instead work for a California-based company called Security Industry Specialists, or SIS.

Jackson led the modest crowd in a variation of "Hands up! Don't shoot!" — the chant recited by protesters in Ferguson, Missouri. The crowd turned it into a call for better conditions for low wage workers: “Hands up for jobs and justice! Hands up for security workers who want to see their children go to college. Hands up!”

The rally was partially organized by the Service Employees International Union, which accuses SIS of unfair labor practices. SIS, in turn, says the union is running a "vicious corporate” campaign against the company to pressure its workers to unionize.

Jackson has been in the Seattle area for the past few days shining a light on the lack of diversity in the tech industry. He is encouraging protesters demonstrating against the grand jury decision in Ferguson to express their opinions peacefully. According to the site legalmatch.com:

A security guard has the general authority to detain someone if there is probable cause that shoplifting has occurred. However, this authority has some limitations. Any time a security guard stops a shopper, it must be for a reasonable time, and must be done in a reasonable manner.

Probable Cause

"Probable cause" means that a security guard has reason to suspect that shoplifting has occurred. This normally means that he or she observes an individual approach merchandise, select the merchandise, conceal or carry away the merchandise, and leave the store. If there is probable cause, the guard may detain the suspected individual.

Reasonable Manner

Detention of any shopper must be done in a reasonable manner. What is reasonable depends on the circumstances, but usually includes:

Physical restraint such as handcuffing if it appears to be necessary under the circumstances.

A "pat down" of the suspect to determine whether he or she is carrying a weapon or otherwise poses a threat to safety.

Requesting identification from the suspected shoplifter.

A security guard can never use excessive force. Excessive force can include, but is not limited to, application of pain, choking, or improper handcuff use. Foul language, discriminatory slurs, and verbal threats can also be considered excessive force

Unreasonable detention by a store security guard may create valid claims of false arrest, false imprisonment, malicious prosecution, excessive use of force, or assault. You may have the right to sue the store for damages you have incurred as a result of the detention.

If I were these guys I would shitting myself preparing to spend time in jail and be in debt from paying my share of the lawsuit. If the client expects you to act like a cop remind him of the liability it can open you up to. Your job is to observe and report. Not play fucking dirty harry. You will be left out in the cold if it goes wrong and no one will protect your interests. Be smart if you use violence on the job you will lose. There is no blue wall for security guards. A SECURITY guard who tried to stop armed robbers in a Glasgow shopping centre has had his wages withheld after being signed off from work for a fortnight by his doctor.

Employers GMB have agreed to cover George Ferrier’s statutory sick pay - but not his wages. Mr Ferrier, 56, was set upon by thieves carrying baseball bats and axes as he tried to prevent their escape from the upmarket retail district off Buchanan Street on September 14.

The security guard sustained multiple injuries to his legs from being struck by a baseball bat as he guided staff to safety. Mr Ferrier was forced to eventually let the robbers pass after they ran at him with axes.

Mr Ferrier told the Daily Record that he was “disappointed” with the way his employers had treated him, accusing them of not caring about his health and well-being after the attack.

After being told to rest for two weeks by his doctor, Mr Ferrier discovered that GMB would only pay him £87.55 a week - a sum only paid out once an employee has been off for four days in a row.

He said: “I’ve had a lot of really nice feedback but the work has been keen to get me back as quickly as possible. If they think I should be getting just sick pay after what’s happened, that’s up to them - but it doesn’t seem right to me. I’m disappointed in them.”Louie Beehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16070038214136260294noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2655198176804111177.post-22639440706061796432014-10-15T16:35:00.001-07:002014-10-15T16:35:45.062-07:00Security Guards Stop Fucking with SkatersLouie Beehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16070038214136260294noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2655198176804111177.post-44358226306532280512014-10-03T09:38:00.001-07:002014-10-03T09:52:15.644-07:00Apple Store Guards Stage Sit-In Demanding Higher WagesSilicon Valley's top tech firms are infamous for paying their help borderline-poverty wages, including private security. According to multiple protesters and reporters, tweeting under the hashtag #TechCanDoBetter, contractors organized by the SEIU labor union staged a sit-in at the Apple Store in downtown San Francisco. Holding signs reading "Invisible No More" and "Opportunity for All Our Communities," the protesters peacefully occupied the store for over an hour before a confrontation with police.
As it became clear Apple employees were going to "wait the protesters out," the contractors allegedly decided to block the doors to the store.
For years, companies like Google and Apple have outsourced their security operations, ensuring their campus guards take home low wages while programmers earn top dollar. But following worker protests and unfavorable media coverage, the search giant has announced it's dropping its security contractor and bringing the Googleplex guards in-house.

Google will be hiring 200 guards to protect its Northern California offices when its contract with Security Industry Specialists ends November 1st. The company says it will focus on employing those workers full-time, the Mountain View Voice reports.

"Building an in-house security team is something we are excited to do," said a Google spokesperson in a statement. "This is a process we started over a year ago and are looking forward to making these valued positions both full- and part-time Google employees. We value the work of the security professionals who keep our campuses safe and making sure they're well-taken care of is very important to us."

The Service Employees International Union, which has 40,000 security guard members nationwide, held a protest of SIS at Google headquarters in June of 2013. SEIU conducted a survey that found that 80 percent of Google's SIS security guards were only offered part-time work. One of them was Manny Cardenas, who told the Voice that despite his $16 an hour pay, he was sometimes scheduled only one day a week and took home only $1,000 a month in pay, with no health benefits for himself or his daughter.Louie Beehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16070038214136260294noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2655198176804111177.post-35782054774506840062014-09-03T23:14:00.001-07:002014-09-17T15:20:21.307-07:00Nycresistance Interview (made with Spreaker)on police brutaityLouie Beehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16070038214136260294noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2655198176804111177.post-6095738905323614182014-08-14T22:25:00.001-07:002014-08-14T22:25:38.236-07:00Security Guard Horror Stories: Missing Pay

The way security companies make money is literally off the backs of the people they hire to do security at there clients locations. For example they will charge the client 40 dollars an hour for each guard. Then turn around and pay that guard minimum wage to 10 dollars an hour. That guard is paid a crap wage to be treated like garbage and expected to deal with stresses that are just inhuman.

Did you know that security companies have another trick up there sleeve to be able to keep money away from security guards?

What they do is do not pay you all the hours you worked in hopes you do not notice the missing pay. This is why Security guard must record when they work and compare it to their pay stub every time and then file a grievance every time your check is short.

My latest horrifying experience goes back in time back in 2001 at my first ever security job. The company was called S&H security from Harlem. I worked only 2 days because I was in college. At the time I was paid minimum wage which was $6 an hour. I worked 24 hours a week.

Very often my check was short 6 hours. On top of that they would often pay me with a bounced check! every week a bounced check! They would tell us to go to a specific check cashier that would charge $20 bucks to cash checks. A lot of times I would have to go without pay for an entire week. I was still expected to be at work on time and do my job.

I would complain and the racism was fucking amazing to the point I could say it was amaze balls. I would tell them my check was short or that the check bounced and they would say why didn't you go to the check cashier I would tell them I cant afford the fee. Then they would ask, What do you need all that money Jose Cuervo? To be able to get to work and do things. Why don't you walk fat ass?

Did I mention this was a ghetto black owned business. Where ratchetness was the business model.

The major reason why I feel that Security companies do this purposely is that you never ever her them overpaying a guard. You would think that in the case averages that the amount of missing pay there would have to be a mistake in extra pay.

Always keep track of your time and do the math yourself, I use http://www.paycheckcity.com/calculator/salary/ to calculate how much my check is going to be. and I compare it to my pay.

Let me break this down so you will recognize this.

What is the name and address of the business? where are they located? no where in the ad. Any reputable business will have this information.

Where is a website? In 2014 there should be a website?

Up front costs. Always ask what the upfront costs are for? Most Security Guard companies and schools do not charge an entrance fee.

If they are pressuring you leave. Never give your money to someone pushy there are legit schools out there.

Upselling. Making it seem you need to take extra classes that are not required by law to be able to charge more is shadey.

Always google the phone number and check for reviews. No Reviews or Bad Reviews Never do business with them.

What you should be paying for security courses as posted by REMS security training school http://www.securitytraining.com/

8 hour security class - $45

16 hour Security class- $90 I have seen it lower for $70 else where.

Getting stuck on site means when it is time for you to go home and your relief doesn't show up. So you call your supervisor but either they do not answer or they give you a rude comment saying "Well we have no one to relieve you", so you end up doing a double. In this experience it was far worse.

I worked for a small security company called Sovereign Security. I was working for them for about a month at the time and the turn over at the site I was at was very frequent. At the time my shift was the 6pm till 2am shift. So on this particular night it was friday into saturday. It was already 1:53am I am looking at the clock wondering where is my relief. 2am comes and goes it is now 3am. I tried calling my supervisor but she was asleep for the night and not picking up the phone for nothing.

I realize I am now stuck and have to pull a double. which is the 2am till 10am shift. I do it at least it was a sit down post and it was dead. I could also go on the internet and watch movies so I was fine for now. 10am comes the staff has arrived for the day yet still no relief has showed up. I called my supervisor she picks up and tells me that two people decided to quit at the same time. My two reliefs. I was already fading fast. My eyes were really heavy.

At 11:30am my supervisor finally calls saying she herself will relive me at 2pm. 2pm!!!! At this point I have been on site for 17 1/2 hours straight. Now I have to wait till 2! that will make it 20 hours straight.

2 o'clock rolls around my supervisor hasnt shown up yet. she doesn't come until 3pm with some excuse about having to pick up her grand child from school or some bullshit. I have been there 21 hours straight! Mind you there was a zero tolerance policy for falling a sleep on post.

In security there is no respect for your health or time. You are expect to be a spartan able to endure superhuman stresses on your body. The kicker was I was only paid 9 dollars an hour! At the time I had 8 years experience. No respect.

In this one occasion
I was posted in this small office building in the Chelsea
neighborhood of Manhattan. This woman came in wanting to go upstairs
to the Buddhist temple for the meditation. I told her that she would
need to show identification and sign in the guest book before she
would be granted access to the temple. She got irate immediately.

The argument went
like this:

Her: This is
ridiculous. I never had to do that before.

Me: That is why they
are no longer here. I do not make the rules.

Her: Well I am
already running late I do not have time for this.

Me: (suppressing my
rage) I am sorry for the delay but I can not allow you access until
you sign in.

Her: I don't have to
show you anything.

Me: As a condition
of entry you must show Id or you will have to leave.

Her: I am going
upstairs.

Me: Then please show
me Id and sign in the guest book.

Her: I do not have
time for you.

She proceeded to
walk past me and get on the elevator. I then put my foot to prevent
the doors from closing and keeping the elevator from going up.

Her: Are you really
going to keep me from going upstairs?

Me: Yes Please sign
in and you will be allowed access ma'am.

Her: You are an
@$$hole.

Me: Thank you for
the compliment. I am sorry for the inconvenience.

Her: I will have you
arrested for kidnapping.

Me: You can leave at
anytime I am not keeping you from leaving. You are just not granted
access into the building because you refuse to comply to the
conditions of entering this building. In fact you are trespassing and
I am doing my job preventing you from going up.

Her: I want to
speaking to your *&()ing supervisor.

Me: Yes Ma'am please
get out of the elevator and I will call him.

She gets out.
Cursing me out. I called my supervisor and tell him the situation and
put him on the phone with her.

Her: I don't want to
show him my ID. He might be a criminal. (seriously holding my rage
from this racist lovely lady) I come here all the time and I never
had to sign in. He never showed me his id. (my id badge is on my
shirt. I show it to her) No I do not want to see your id you @$$hole!
I am already late and this fat %^&* is making me later.
(seriously wanting to unleash on her but kept my composure)

At this point my
Supervisor tells her she will not be allowed access until she shows
id. That she is the making herself later and that she could be
arrested if she tries to come onto the property unless she signs in.
That we do this in case of an emergency to know who is in the
building to coordinate efforts with emergency personnel.

She was like okay I
will just show him my credit card it has my name on it. She takes out
her debit card but since it doesn't have a photo I refuse it as
proper identification. My supervisor backs me up. Impressed that
after her verbal abuse I am firm and polite despite her talking to me
like an animal. She takes out her state id and signs in after 15
minutes calls me an @$$hole one more time. I say thank you and please
have a blessed day. She goes up annoyed but no further conflict.

My supervisor came
to the site to commend me on keeping my cool and professionalism.
Also to laugh when I showed her my Id when she asked for it
immediately. And that is how I dealt with conflict. I stayed calm and
firm and contacted a supervisor to back me up.

Me at the US OPEN
FLUSHING, NY

This blog was made to keep it real with people who want to become security guards or officers. I have been a fully certified security guard for 10 plus years and have an associates degree. I have worked at universities, homeless shelters, events, and office buildings. after school programs, and construction sites. I want to make sure that you know that being a security guard is a shit job.I am going to explain that Security is not a career. If you are thinking of becoming a security guard it is probably because you do not have any real skills and this industry is the only place to get a job in this economy. If that is the case then please read this blog. Security guard jobs are plentiful but are very bad due to low pay, no respect, no job security and, no advancement.

First, the low Pay. The Average yearly salary for a security guard in NYC is $25,000. Your take home pay will be $19,265. For New York City that is basically nothing. You are not paid what you are worth. In my case I have 10 years in the industry, have a fireguard license and all my certifications were up to date. I was offered a "lucrative" salary of $9 an hour at a standing post with no break, no benefits. The selling point was that I had weekends off. I was told that this was one of there highest paid sites. I would have been better if they paid me in a weekly Metro Card and one sandwich a week. I walk off telling the interviewer that I am not an illegal. Contract security is just that: by contract. When the client hires a security company, they pay "X" amount per contract hour. The security company divides that money between office personnel (branch manager, secretary, etc.), overhead (office bills, insurance, taxes, uniforms, etc.) and the security officer, who is LAST in line. By that time, there's little left. To rephrase a Paul Mooney joke; Everyone wants security but No one wants security. They want someone to keep pesky cold-calls away, or someone to blame for whatever goes wrong on nights and weekends. But the biggest incentive for having security guards on-site is the break the clients get in their insurance policies.

Second, There is no respect for security guards. Having a thick skin is a valuable skill to have. You will have to tolerate and almost enjoy having to eat shit all the time. Dealing with the constant disrespect. Rent-a-cop, flashlight cop,wanna-be-cop are all insults thrown at us. The funny thing is we have no type of arrest powers. In fact we can't put our hands on anyone. In theory someone can trespass and we can't physically stop them. They can tell us to go fuck ourselves and continue doing whatever they want to do. Our job is to observe and report. If we see someone we can only call the police and direct them to where the crime is taking place. If we were to fight a trespasser even if we are attacked we can face jail time, lawsuit , and termination of employment. However if we do nothing we risk termination anyways. It is the damned if you do damned if you don't moral conundrum. There have been times were I was working and there was that one white woman who can not be bothered to show an ID because she is running late. I always expect the "I get paid more than you, You're not a cop". You just have to swallow those insults and smile and try to do the job you are paid for.

Third, there is no job security. Security is the only job where you can be fired for doing your job right. I was removed from a site because I carded the wife of a client. She refused to identify herself acting like I should know her. She made a huge stink and even though I was doing my job the client didn't want me there. You are viewed as disposable and replaceable at the whim of the client or your bosses. You have too many bosses anyone can get you fired from the top boss to the mexican cleaner. Another site I was removed from wasn't even because of anything I did. The maintenance supervisor and the Security Supervisor (client) were having a pissing contest to try to get the most people fired from their team. I ended up on radar because I would catch the maintenance guys goofing off. So they complained to the boss and they told me that I was spying on them. I am fucking security it was my job to patrol and make sure nothing wrong happened. They complained so much I was removed.

Fourth, there generally no room to advance. Security is generally a dead end job. In very rare cases the only way to get ahead is to know someone and kissing a lot of ass. I have personally seen a guard who was reliable, hard working, and seniority to his job passed over for a supervisor position because the other guy was friends with the boss. The saying is true “It’s not what you know but who you know". On the other side of the coin if you do get a promotion it is only title and more responsibilities but no raise in pay. More often than not companies would rather hire from the outside. Getting people who already have managerial experience rather than train. This is usually to prevent lose of personnel to other companies that will pay more.

In closing, a security guard job is not a career. It should be seen the same way stripping is; a means to an end. If you get into security have a plan to get out sooner rather than later. Security should be for students paying there way and retirees looking for a second job to pass the time. Not for people with families. As a security guard you have no life and are expected to be a spartan. Work Long hours, and stand for long periods of time. You may barely be allowed to drink water, use the bathroom, have a break. You are not human as a security guard you are basically a scarecrow with a heart beat.I highly recommend going to school getting skilled and getting a real job that will pay you a better living.Louie Beehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16070038214136260294noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2655198176804111177.post-47895880942402748332014-02-03T09:38:00.001-08:002015-01-24T20:39:53.068-08:00Security Fail at the SuperbowlWith All the fucking security through out NY and NJ for the superbowl goes to show you can't stop a lone 9/11 truther from telling your asses the truth. Below is a complaint from someone who hit me up on YouTube:

It was on September 20th at 3 pm when I got a call from a Mr. Mamadou Diallo saying, I needed to come in for a security job right now and to bring $100 with me to start work 24-48 hrs. I hesitated at first because I remembered going to that precise address, 335-9 W. 7th St. & 30th in NYC and the door was locked then when I was able to go in no one was and the numbers on the door to call were disconnected. That was just the previous month, August, I so regret return to that pit of evil liars.

I did go that Friday and was received by Oliver, a former military man - his admission, great bullshiter, said registration was $100, but since my 8 hr expired -I needed an annual one and that costed only $199 and he would wait for me to go to the bank to withdraw it. I should have gone home, but I didn't. Instead I returned and he gave me $1 change and a receipt that i had to initial and realizing now those initials prevent me from asking or being allowed any returns or guaranteed employment.

I should have read it carefully, but even if I had I had already turned over the cash and would not have seen it again. The class that was scheduled was twice postponed. I was too livid because I traveled all the way from jersey to NYC on a Sunday just to be told that there is no class on Sunday, 22nd Sept. Instead Wednesday, 25th Sept, the night before I texted Oliver and he says oh not Wednesday either, definitely on Sunday, 29th Sept. I'm getting fed up but have no fucking choice by now. Saturday I text him then he asks for my full name so he can create a ticket so I can get into class. Then says it will be at Atlantic Ave., Brooklyn.

Mind you he isn't there it's a school not even connected to him and when I get there I discover the course was just $30!!!Then the honest instructor thankful warns us of the scams that are going on, but that was a little to late for me. I took money from my rent and now I won't be able to have any more to pay any rent at all. I'm skint until I find work and that 8 hr certificate is absolutely worthless where it is now. I had in essence threw away $300 down the drain and I WISH NEVER to have any thing more ever to do with security guarding. It has been nothing but a money pit for me and they seem to chose man over women more any way. And having no experience make it worse for me.

I had an experience with this company when it was called National Security Training and Placement. Here are the bullet points of my impression of my experience.
